Aussie Rules
The UCC ‘Bombers’ are the leading varsity team in Ireland. The sport has similar skills to GAA and Rugby. There is no previous skill or knowledge required to join our club as each year we start from the beginning to give every player the best possible opportunity to learn, play and enjoy this sport as so many before have!
About Us
The club is extremely competitive in terms of competing in national and international leagues. We won our main national competition the Rebel Shield against the Leeside Lions in a two-leg competition. We are the current Fitzpatrick Cup Winners and are also the Runners Up!
In keeping with the tradition with footy there is a strong social side to the club where many friendships are forged on and off the field of play.
The Bombers currently have a men’s team, UCC Bombers, and a women’s team, UCC Crusaders. Training is open to anyone who wishes to train with the team for leisure or competitive purposes.
